Chris Bartlett

Chris is a proud descendant of the Ayapathu and Lama Lama peoples of Far North Queensland. His story carries the legacy of Australia’s Assimilation Policies, where identity, culture and connection to Country were disrupted, and life unfolded within a modern, westernised Australia.

From this history, Chris has been privileged to follow an educational pathway from Senior Certificate through to a Master of Educational Leadership. Across more than 35 years working in schools, including 25 years as a principal, he has seen firsthand the power of education to transform lives.

His passion is simple and unwavering: every child deserves an equal opportunity to succeed, and meaningful schooling is the foundation that makes this possible. Chris believes deeply in the strength of ancient First Nations knowledge connecting with the moral purpose and strategic intent of schools today.

For Chris, education is key. By blending the stories of the past with the lived experiences of the present, we can build greater understanding and unity for the future.
